Choosing your DD Tarp
Looking for a quick comparison? Please see our reference guide at the bottom of this page
DD Tarps are designed to shelter you from the worst conditions - from a light summer drizzle to a winter storm. Designed and tested from our base in Scotland and proven in some of the most extreme conditions across the globe for well over a decade - DD Tarps are lightweight, easily packable, and ready for any adventure that you have in mind.
Materials
We offer 3 main ranges of tarps, each made from high quality material that will stand the test of time. Whatever tarp you choose, we can assure full waterproofing and a very strong design that will be with you for years.
Rugged, dependable and lightweight - our time-tested DD Tarps are available in a huge range of sizes and shapes: Made from 190T / 68D Polyester with a waterproof coating and bomb-proof construction
Designed for light and fast adventures without compromising on toughness. DD SuperLight Tarps are ultralight, and highly packable for long expeditions, bikepacking and high energy advenure sports.
Made from hundreds of recycled plastic bottles; offering the same level of weather- proofing and strength of construction as you would expect from a DD Tarp, whilst also helping to keep single-use plastics out of our environment.
Waterproofing
All DD Tarps are made with a Waterproof PU coating, and benefit from a minimum waterproof rating of 3,000mm as well as waterproof tseam-taping across the central ridge-lines. This provides plenty of protection against heavy rainstorms and blizzards, making DD Tarps suitable for usage across all climates, in all parts of the globe - from the jungle to the tundra.
Construction
DD Tarps are designed to be versatile, so that you can set them up in any configuration you need. Each tarp features multiple reinforced attachment points around the tarp’s edges and across a central ridgeline, so you can be assured of a secure set-up suspended between trees or poles, or pitched to the ground as a bivvi or group shelter.
Whichever DD Hammocks range you choose your tarp from the material is very strong; and with proper care can last you a lifetime.
