3.1Hammock Camping is generally very safe but as with all outdoor pursuits potentially serious dangers could occur. With a few very simple checks there should be no issues but please see our disclaimer below. Before setting up and getting into your hammock we recommend checking the following;

  • Check the trees (or set-up points) are strong and capable of supporting considerably more than your weight.
  • Check there are no loose branches (or coconuts if in the tropics etc.) or other dangerous objects above your hammock that could fall. Also check there are no sharp objects under or near your hammock.
  • Check the suspension (webbing, whoopie slings etc) of the hammock each time before using. Make sure any knots tied are strong enough to hold your weight before using the hammock.
  • Check you are not exceeding the maximum recommended weight limit for the product as shown on our website.

3.6.8All information on our Website, Facebook page, You Tube Channel, Instagram and Twitter accounts is accurate to the best of our knowledge and our tips and advice we believe to be useful and correct but we don't provide any guarantee as to their accuracy or performance. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4.PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

4.1We try our absolute best to make sure all descriptions are accurate but want to mention weights and sizes and colours can vary by small amounts. The reason being when we buy material to make our products the weight (grams per m) of the material can sometimes vary by a few percent between batches of material. It is common with most fabrics for there to be very slight variations between batches of up to a few percent. Therefore we can't guarantee every weight is 100% correct - but as mentioned above we try to make sure they are as accurate as possible. There is also the possibility of very slight colour variations occasionally (not very often but can happen). Other honest companies will be able to confirm that material weights can vary slightly.

4.2Things like tarp attachment points can vary very slightly in size again contributing to very slight weight discrepancies. While we also try our absolute best to make sure all sizes are as accurate as possible sometimes products can occasionally be a couple of cm out. Due to the nature of manufacturing our products it is very hard to get everything 100% accurate to the nearest cm and there can be very minor differences between sizes of products. There should not be any big size differences but a couple of cm difference can occasionally happen on a hammock / tarp.

4.3Under close inspection, a very small pin-prick hole may sometimes be visible around areas of stitching - this is a consequence of the manufacturing process, and will not affect the performance and longevity of the product. You might also encounter a loose / untrimmed thread on your product. All of our products are made by hand, and although we do try to remove any loose threads it can be the case where some are left slightly longer. These can be carefully snipped off by the user if required. We will not classify these as manufacturing faults as they will not affect the performance and longevity of the product, and as such will not be covered by our warranty. Our products are designed and tested to last many years of outdoor use.

Like everyone else we are human and we are not 100% perfect though we do try our very best.

5.AVAILABILITY

5.1While we endeavour to hold sufficient stock to meet all orders, if we have insufficient stock to supply or deliver the goods ordered and paid for by you (very very rare), we may, at our discretion, refund you the price paid for such goods as soon as possible. In such a case we will let you know the date we expect to have new stock available and you will be given the option to wait for it if you wish as an alternative to a refund. It is very rare this happens as we try to mark goods out of stock before we run out of stock but it can very occasionally happen.

6.PAYMENT

6.1Payment is processed securely on our site or can be made via PayPal, (the world's largest online payment processor). For payments made directly on our website we have the most secure SSL certificate available meaning you can use your card with full confidence it will be safe.

6.2We do not store or have any access to credit/debit card details (these are processed very securely and never stored).

6.3The price you see on the checkout page once you've selected your country is the final price you pay and includes shipping.

6.4Please be aware that any customs fees or other applicable fees levied by authorities outside of our control are out of our hands, please see Customs Duty for more information on this.

7.DELIVERY & TITLE

7.1Unless you tell us you wish to collect the goods, we will deliver them in accordance with your order. Immediately prior to despatch of the goods to you, title of the goods will pass to you.

7.2In the unlikely event that you have not received all the goods within the maximum delivery time frame given for your location (UK = 5 working days, Europe = 6 working days, USA & Canada = 10 working days, Rest of World = 12 working days) please notify us.

7.3If delivery is attempted but not successful, and returned to us, we reserve the right to charge for subsequent delivery attempts. If further charges arise, for example Customs charges and handling charges for orders sent internationally, we shall not be liable for payment of these charges. We strongly advise that you look into import charges before placing an order if it is a concern.

7.4If you have entered the wrong address please contact us immediately so that we can change it, you are responsible for additional costs incurred as a result of providing the wrong information. In any event, if the courier attempts to deliver, fails and then the goods are returned to us, we will re-ship your order on receipt of a second payment of the delivery charges.

7.5To avoid this situation, if your order hasn't been delivered within the time frame above, you should contact DD Hammocks.

7.6If you foresee any difficulty in taking delivery of an order, please inform us as early as possible and we will try our best to help.

8.CUSTOMS DUTY

8.1There are never any customs duties to pay on orders to the UK.
It is possible for countries outside of the UK to sometimes charge customs duties on arrival of goods into the country. From what we understand not many orders to non EU countries get charged customs duty but it can sometimes happen (depending on your countries customs procedures and the order value etc).

8.2In the event customs duty is charged DD Hammocks is not liable to pay any customs charge. In the event there is a charge these are payable by the receiver of the package. Custom charges are completely outwith our control and they vary between countries (if it is a concern please check with your customs office before ordering).

As above to the best of our knowledge it is quite rare for customs charges to be charged but it can sometimes happen.

9.3We do not store or have any access to credit/debit card details (these are processed very securely and never stored).
