We have received a number of enquires about hammock and tarp care / maintenance so this page will hopefully help answer those questions;
Hammocks:
If you wish to wash or clean your hammock we recommend you do so by hand in luke warm (not hot) water using a sponge.
If the hammock is packed away wet please take it out to dry (as soon as possible after your camp / trip) before re-packing.
A question often asked is 'should I fold or stuff my hammock back into its stuff sack?' Our advice is that there is no correct way, both folding or stuffing it into its bag is fine. If you wish to get the very most life out of your hammock and you fold it when packing it is wise to fold along different lines every so often (it is unlikely to be an issue but over a very long period of time fold lines can start to become a little weaker - however it should be stressed this won't happen for a long time).
Tarps:
If you wish to wash or clean your tarp we recommend doing so by hand using luke warm (not hot) water and a sponge.
If your tarp is packed away when wet it is important to take it out and dry it out as soon as you can before re-packing it. If on a hike it is not a problem to carry it wet between camps etc but once your trip is finished it is important to dry it out before storing.

If you accidently make a hole in your tarp (from a knife etc) we recommend using tent repair tape to fix the hole (this will also restrict the hole to that area and stop it from spreading). McNett's Tenacious Tape works well for this.
Underblanket
When storing for long periods of time we recommend you loosen the straps on the compression sack.
